Set up iTALC 2.0 to screen share windows & linux machines
http://sourceforge.net/projects/italc/
Actually really simple to set up – probably why there’s no help in the documentation!
0) For both Master and Client machines: In iTALC Management Console, Authentication -> Logon Settings, add permissions for ‘everyone’ in iTALC Server.
1) Install iTALC on Master computer, and just the service on your client machines.
2) For both Master and Client machines: In iTALC Management Console, in Authentication, set up your public and private key base directories in a shared network directory, then Launch New Key File Assistant to generate authentication keys (I chose administrator) then save the keys in your shared network directory.
3) On Master Machine: Open iTALC, open ‘classroom manager’ on left of sidebar, richt click ‘Create classroom’, then add computers (use hostnames rather than ips if your router uses DHCP)
That’s it!
